Biography

Zhang Ruhong, Chief Physician, Professor, Deputy Director, and Doctoral Supervisor, has proficiently mastered the diagnostic and treatment techniques for common and frequently occurring diseases in plastic surgery and aesthetic surgery during more than ten years of clinical practice in plastic surgery. He has particularly developed his own style and accumulated relatively rich experience in craniomaxillofacial surgery, clinical simulation surgery, aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, and organ reconstruction. He completed further clinical training and exchange in plastic and aesthetic surgery in France, thereby developing professional expertise in aesthetic plastic surgery of facial contours and the repair and reconstruction of ear defects.

He has published more than 20 papers in core journals at home and abroad, including more than 10 SCI papers, 10 as first author, and participated in the compilation of one monograph. He was responsible for a key project of the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission (Development and Clinical Application of Three-Dimensional Medical Images in Plastic Surgery for Craniomaxillofacial Deformities). The research projects in which he participated have won awards including the First Prize of the Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award, the Second Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Health, the Shanghai Clinical Medical Achievement Award, the National Baosteel Education Award, and the Bristol-Myers Squibb Outstanding Young Physician Award.
